May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month: What is the Sun-Protection Measure You’re Probably Overlooking?

Skin Cancer Awareness Month is an initiative of the nonprofit Skin Cancer Foundation, which for more than 40 years has been helping people understand the importance of skin cancer prevention, early detection and prompt, effective treatment. As a member of the Foundation’s Corporate Council, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions is proud to encourage people to be proactive about daily sun protection and the early detection and treatment of skin cancer. One prevention measure, recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation, that many people are not aware of: Have UV-protective window film applied to windows in your car (and in your home, if appropriate).

Avery Dennison® Receives Adhesive & Sealant Council Innovation Award

The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) today presented its annual Innovation Award to Avery Dennison® at the 2022 World Adhesive & Sealant Conference in Chicago. The award recognizes the adhesive and sealant industry’s top innovation of the year. The award was presented to Avery Dennison for the development entitled: Advanced Acrylics Technology for High Performance Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) Applications. One of the first applications for the new technology is HP750 High-Performance Cut Vinyl, a collection of 100 vibrant and bold, medium-gloss cut vinyl films. The film’s Patented Advanced Acrylic Adhesive Technology (PAAAT) is the result and application of this award-winning adhesive innovation.

Avery Dennison® Launches New Dusted Crystal Decorative Architectural Window Film

Avery Dennison today introduced its all-new Dusted Crystal decorative architectural window film. The frosted film, available in a matte and luster finish, offers privacy while providing a translucent light effect for interior environments using glass to signify specially-designated spaces. The film features a remarkable, first-to-market, wet-apply quick-release adhesive that allows the film to be repositioned during installation and removed easily after drying with virtually no residue left on the glass. Moreover, the film’s adhesive doesn’t stick to itself, which eliminates mishaps when removing the film from its liner prior to application.
