Wish for Wheels Receives Wish for Truck Wrap

Wish for Wheels, a non-profit based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, is dedicated to providing children with bicycles and helmets. With one-in-five children living in poverty, the organization’s mission is to give as many kids as possible their first brand new bike and helmet. Since it was founded in 2004, Wish for Wheels has given away 6,000 bikes to underprivileged children in the Denver area.

Wish for Wheels was recently gifted a wish of its own - a full wrap on its box truck, used to deliver the bicycles, through a joint effort from Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions and The Artworks Unlimited.

“We’re a small organization and wrapping our truck would have been a huge financial undertaking for us,” said Brad Appel, founder of Wish for Wheels. “It’s our only delivery vehicle, so going from a blank white truck to a full-graphic wrap really centers our brand and increases  our presence throughout Denver. We are extremely grateful to Avery Dennison and The Artworks for their help with this project and we’re humbled by the new possibilities they’ve given us. It’s truly incredible and amazing.”

The Artworks Unlimited has been working with customers in the Denver area for over 20 years. The company printed and wrapped the Wish for Wheels box truck using Avery Dennison® MPI 1005 Supercast digital film and DOL 1060 overlaminate to ensure a quality cut around edges and conformability to the truck’s many rivets.

“Avery Dennison approached us with this project supporting a great cause, and we were all ears,” said Dave Martine, president of The Artworks. “Wish for Wheels is right in our backyard, so it was a great chance for us to join Avery Dennison for a fun project that also allowed us to give back to our local community. We hope that the newly wrapped truck brings Wish for Wheels more recognition for their efforts, and that they continue to do awesome work in town.”

Avery Dennison provided the films for the project, while Wish for Wheels provided the artwork for the graphic. The Artworks utilized remaining film from the truck-wrapping project to create several hundred small logo stickers for Wish on Wheels to use for additional marketing.
