At the ISA International Sign Expo, Avery Dennison held a series of Wrap-Off Contests. Two participants in each contest, competed in a head-to-head timed race, to see who could accurately wrap a car door with Avery Dennison® MPI 1005 Supercast film in the fastest time. The pace for the fastest door wrap was set by Avery Dennison's professional wrap installer, Justin Pate. Justin also gave wrap demonstrations to the booth's crowd using Avery Dennison® Supreme Wrapping Film.
If you want to improve your wrap installation skills, Justin is teaching several classes in June that have openings. The Avery Dennison/Mutoh Car Wrap Training program provides installers with the steps to improve the quality and speed of car wrap installations with digital films. The class June 19-21 in Toronto has openings and there is availability in classes in September and October.
Justin also teaches a one day class with Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film to help installers improve their skills for color change wraps. Classes in June are available in San Antonio, Texas and Charlotte, North Carolina with four additional classes in 2014.
The installer with the best overall time from the 11 Wrap-Off Contests was Lauran Wang with a time of 8 minutes and 23 seconds. The winners of each of the contests received an Avery Dennison Tool Belt, and the installer with the fastest time at the end of each day won a free roll of Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film.
