MPI 1405 Easy Apply RS™ Receives GREENGUARD Certification from UL Environment

Brands and graphics companies looking for a premium, digitally printable film with an environmentally friendly profile, can now turn to the Avery Dennison MPI 1405 with confidence. In addition to being a PVC-free formulation, this film has been certified for low chemical emissions into indoor air during product usage. Products that have achieved this prestigious GREENGUARD Certification are scientifically proven to meet some of the world’s most rigorous, third-party chemical emissions standards — helping reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure while aiding in the creation of healthier indoor environments.

“We continue to innovate in the digital film and graphics space with products that offer superior performance and have a lower environmental impact,” says Jeff Losch, North America marketing director at Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions.

Products with GREENGUARD Certification can contribute to the achievement of points in established green building rating systems, satisfy code or ordinance criteria and meet indoor air quality specific RFP requirements. UL Environment, a business unit of Underwriters Laboratories (UL), works to advance global sustainability, environmental health and safety by supporting the growth and development of environmentally preferable products, services and organizations.

MPI 1405 features improved color saturation and better film stretch, especially around irregular shapes and curves. Graphics using MPI 1405 should be protected with a clear overlaminate, such as DOL 6460.

Recent projects featuring MPI 1405 include interior wall graphics installed by Art City Signs at the Oshkosh West High School Center for Fitness and Athletic Excellence and an exterior wall mural installed at UnderWraps at their Huntington Beach, California headquarters.
