Earlier this month, internationally recognized professional graphics installer, Justin Pate, teamed with Avery Dennison to create The Limited Edition Justin Pate Supreme Wrapping Film™ Series. The four new custom car wrap colors, Gloss Metallic Milky Way, Gloss Metallic Meteorite, Pearl Black and Pearl Bahama Blue were added to the Supreme Wrapping Film portfolio.
The colors feature multidimensional finishes, with metallic flakes that reflect different colors. The Limited Edition Justin Pate Supreme Wrapping Film series was inspired by the night sky and ocean.
Gloss Metallic Milky Way is an homage to the stars on a cool, moonless night. Gloss Metallic Meteorite is a crisp shade of gray with sparkles, creating high-end style with a hint of bling. Pearl Black has a mysterious depth to it, inspired by the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Pearl Bahama Blue looks like the ocean on a perfect sunny day.
“The opportunity to be creative and collaborate on new colors and finishes, especially with Avery Dennison, is an installer’s dream,” said Pate, creator of The Wrap Institute. “Our goal was to hit that intangible point of excitement that certain vinyl film colors and finishes can achieve, that makes wrapping cars extra special.”
Pate has worked closely with Avery Dennison for many years, teaching and administering wrap classes and certification tests, performing demonstrations at trade shows and producing some of the most unique projects ever wrapped with Avery Dennison films.
All films in the new series feature Avery Dennison’s patented Easy Apply RS™ adhesive technology, with excellent conformability around curves and recesses. They have exceptional performance and provide a colored film and a protective layer in a convenient, one-piece construction. The new colors are currently available from Avery Dennison certified distributors and installers are excited to use them.
“The heavy metallic flake of Gloss Metallic Milky Way and Gloss Metallic Meteorite adds so much depth to the colors,” said Sean Tomlin, president of Designer Wraps. “And Pearl Black and Pearl Bahama Blue are two incredible additions to the Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film portfolio. Installers have been waiting a long time for colors like these.”
“I’ve been working with Avery Dennison and Justin Pate for many years, so it’s great to see him recognized with his own set of Supreme Wrapping Film colors,” said Jim Miller, owner of Miller Decals. “These colors fill a void in the market. I can’t wait to use them, and neither can my customers.”
